“It is finished.” We don’t have to try harder, do better, be more, do more, or strive more.
“It is finished.” We don’t have to carry burdens that aren’t ours to carry, try to be someone we weren’t created to be, or work hard to try to earn God’s favor.
“It is finished.” Jesus paid our debt in full. And when God looks at us, He sees Jesus.
This is the Gospel. This is the Good News.
And there is so much freedom, joy, and REST in this. We can love others wholeheartedly and live a life that glorifies our Maker… not because we have to, but because we GET to.
This. This is Easter. Thank you, Jesus.
